Aloha Bay, Hawaii

Aloha Bay – Oahu, Hawaii

There are few places on earth as beautiful and tranquil as Aloha Bay – which is situated on the southeastern shore of Oahu.  Aloha Bay is located between the Wailupe Peninsula and the famous Kahala Mandarin Hotel & Resort in the Kahala District. The aqua blue waters of this secluded palm tree-lined bay are calm due to the protective reef which is approximately 600 yards offshore. The sunrises and sunsets seen from there are spectacular.

A portion of this bay is fronted by the world famous Waialae Golf Course and Country Club where the renowned Sony Open Golf Tournament is held annually and membership dues exceed $67,000. Situated along Aloha Bay are approximately 30 multi-million-dollar beachfront homes on land which was once part of the Waialae Golf Course. This exclusive residential beachfront haven is known as Kai Nani.

This was the location of King Kamehameha’s beach house retreat – who chose the area because of its beauty, tranquility and abundant source of seafood from several ancient fishponds which were found there. This bay is also where many scenes from the Magnum PI television series were filmed (“Rick’s Bar”), plus it was home to Jack Lord who played Steve McGarrett on the original Hawaii Five O. The view from Tom Selleck’s former Black Point home in Hawaii also includes this scenic bay.

Aloha Bay, which is home of one of Aloha Hawaiian Vacations’ home/offices, is truly one of the jewels of all of the Hawaiian Islands and every U.S. President from Lyndon Johnson to George W. Bush has stayed at this area’s world-famous resort, along with countless Hollywood stars, renowned musicians, prominent sports figures and world dignitaries – including Prince Rainier and Princess Grace, and Prince Charles and Princess Diana.

Our vacationers see this area when taking the Oahu Island Exploration Tour and the Hanauma Bay Excursion. For more information about Oahu click the link below:

The Outrigger Reef Beach Resort

The newly renovated Outrigger Reef Beach Resort received a top-to-bottom $110 million transformation featuring modern elegance – which is true to Hawaiian tradition. This oceanfront resort includes all new well-appointed guestrooms and common areas. Newly opened and welcoming guests are the seated reception, porte cochere, and the newly rebuilt pool and pool deck.

The Outrigger Reef Beach Resort is located on the new Waikiki Beach Walk at the far-right-end of Waikiki Beach – and is an approximate 10-minute walk on Waikiki Beach from the traditional central-area of Waikiki – and its beach and restaurants offer spectacular views of Diamond Head.

Although traditional “central Waikiki” is the choice of many – the Outrigger Reef’s “far-end” area, that features the famous Waikiki Beach Walk offering a unique different side of Waikiki, a new Las Vegas-esque glitz and glamour side, is also a highly sought-after location.

Central traditional Waikiki -or- new Waikiki, the choice is yours – as both areas are awesome!

The Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Hotel

This First Class Plus Hotel is centrally located in the heart of Waikiki and is across the street from famous Waikiki Beach. The High Tower Oceanview rooms offer spectacular ocean panoramas and awesome views of Diamond Head. This property has a tropical swimming pool and a well-appointed lobby. It is an approximate one-minute walk to the world’s most popular beach.  Named after our Princess Kaiulani, this property lives up to its name with elegance and charm. Here you find the Sheraton quality you’ve learned to expect. Rooms have lanais (balconies). This is one of our most popular Oahu (Waikiki) properties.

My family visiting from the mainland often stays at this hotel because of the great ocean views this area affords. I have never personally stayed there because I live less than a block from the Hotel. Its location is perfect – near to all of the excitement of Waikiki. The Sheraton Princess Kaiulani is also home to one of our family’s favorites restaurants – which we visit on special occasions: birthdays, etc. – and every Christmas Eve. My family and our clients love the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani!

Royal Kona Resort

The Royal Kona Resort, Big-Island of Hawaii

This renowned luxury oceanfront resort is situated on a black lava-rock cliff overlooking the blue pacific and has recently undergone a multi-million dollar renovation. This pleasant Hawaiian resort is located on 10 acres of lush tropical grounds, has an oceanfront swimming pool with hot tub and an oceanfront-swimming lagoon on a private beach. It is conveniently located near shopping and a championship golf course. It has internet access, a resort spa, and an outside Jacuzzi – where you can Jacuzzi under the stars while listening to the wave’s crash against the lava shoreline below. It is within a short walking distance to the quaint shopping village of Kona. Rooms have lanais (balconies). This is “An Oceanfront Landmark in the Heart of Kailua-Kona”.

This Resort is a must for my family and me when we visit the Big-Island. It is located a good distance from the volcanoes – but is an interesting drive filled with much diverse scenery. We usually take a tour to the volcano field anyway – and let the knowledgeable tour guides share the fascinating facts about the volcano. Wait till you hear their beliefs about Pele’s hair! I learn something new each time we visit Volcano National Park. Akaka Falls and Rainbow Falls are musts during your drive (or tour) along with the Punaluu black sand beach.

I choose the Kona side of the island for my resort due to the year-round perfect weather on this side of the island – unlike the east side. And memories of the brilliant golden sunsets seen from the Royal Kona Resort will stay with you for a lifetime. You can learn more about this awesome resort by clicking the link:

I have personally stayed at this Resort many times over the years, and have enjoyed my every stay there. The dining is excellent and the views from the ocean view rooms are second-to-none in all of Hawaii. I also love the Resort’s convenience to quaint historical Lahaina. I have actually seen whales playing in the blue Maui waters while relaxing by this Resort’s pool. This is one of my favorite places to be in Hawaii. Come see for yourself . . . .

Hanauma Bay, Oahu

Heavenly Hanauma Bay – Oahu

Hanauma Bay, located on Oahu’s East Cost is a “must-see” for every visitor to this island. This spot is perfect for snorkeling, swimming, lite-hiking or simply sunbathing. Having seen 93 countries – I can personally verify that this bay’s beauty is unsurpassed by any other in the world. It is also a marine-life conservation park – and the abundant varieties of colorful fish seen here are amazing. Over the years, Hanauma Bay has often been proclaimed Hawaii’s, the USA’s or the world’s best snorkeling location by many prominent water and sports magazines.

I am remembering now the first time I saw Hanauma Bay. As I entered the bay area I could only see glimpses of the bay below – but when I rounded the trail to begin my descent into this tropical paradise and I saw the bay in its entirety – I was amazed and astounded by its intense beauty. There were no words to describe its grandeur or my response.

Hanauma Bay can be experience as an inclusion on several of Aloha Hawaiian Vacations all inclusive Waikiki Beach – Oahu Packages. Click the link for more pictures of Hanauma Bay.

Waikiki Sunsets

Having lived in the heart-of-Waikiki for more than 20 years – I have enjoyed a countless multitude of magnificent sunsets from my lanai. One thing that has fascinated me about Waikiki Sunsets is they are like fingerprints – each one is different and has its own unique characteristics. A variety of subdued to glowing colors of gold, orange, peach, yellow, tan, red, pink, rose, lilac and rarely even grayish purple and lime green sunsets are experienced here. Speaking of green, the sunset green-flash is a common occurrence in Waikiki – but one that I never tire of.

As the sun slowly slips into the Pacific the lights of Waikiki, and the stars above, begin to make their nightly appearance – while the waves of Waikiki gently and hypnotically massage the soft warm sands of Waikiki Beach. The Waikiki nights that follow are fun and exciting – and memories of an enchanting romantic moonlit walk along the sands of Waikiki Beach will remain in your heart and soul forever.

You can experience your own Waikiki Sunsets and moonlit walks with an Aloha Hawaiian Vacations Waikiki Beach All Inclusive Vacation Package.
